Calendar of local events
Local Nappy Libraries are being rolled out across the country at the moment. It's a slow process as volunteers are recruited and there is a wait while funds become available to purchase nappies for Local Libraries.
Nappuccino: Your local library meets once a month. It is equipped with a volunteer who is an experienced cloth nappy user and a kit of at least 10 different nappies for you to see and borrow. There are usually other parents to chat to as well: some new to cloth and some experienced. You are very welcome to buy or sell preloved nappies at these nappuccinos (or on your local library chat group on facebook). A small donation can be made by those attending nappuccinos to help fund the local library but this is not a requirement. Some meetings may be held at play centers etc. where the usual entry charges will apply. Older children, dads, childminders etc. are all welcome to attend.
Borrow Nappies Locally: You can borrow 10 nappies at the nappuccino for 3 weeks for €15 and try them out at home! (Subject to availability).
Your Local Nappy Library
Local Library facebook pages will keep you up to date on local events & local chat groups are useful for questions and sales!
My county is not listed yet!
Where local libraries are not yet established, our volunteers (shown as purple pins on the map) are happy to meet up and show you their own baby's nappies and answer any questions you have about cloth nappies. (You can borrow nappies form the national library by post.) Mini nappuccinos can be arranged on request -just contact Cloth Nappy Library Ireland or ask on the Facebook Chat Group and we'll tag the closest volunteer for you!
If you are interested in showing others your nappies please join the "Cloth Nappy Library Volunteers" facebook group here and we'll get your details on the map. You are always very welcome to announce a meet up on the chat group and have it included on the CNLI calendar by contacting us via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
